G V Aras
Anuj Bhagwaticompleted his B.S. (Engineering Physics) with distinction (1991) and M.S. (Applied Physics) (1994) – both from Cornell University, USA. Mr Bhagwati, who now heads the A.T.E. Group, joined the Group in 1994. He has been actively involved in a wide range of activities in the group: he introduced IT to the group, managed several companies, put together joint ventures, and has been a part of divestments, turnarounds, start-ups and scale-ups. In the process he has transformed A.T.E. into a modern and technology oriented group.Under the leadership of Mr Bhagwati, the group has diversified into machine-to-machine solutions and clean technology. The group’s foray into clean technology reflects Mr Bhagwati’s personal commitment to the environment.Mr Bhagwati has been involved over the last decade with the Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (TMMA), India and was the Chairman for the years 2009-2011. He is deeply involved with various non-profit bodies as well, such as the Urban Design Research Institute (Trustee), and the Kala Ghoda Association (Committee member); and he is a co-founder and Trustee of the Praja Foundation. Since 2012, he is a member of the Advisory Council of the College of Architecture Art and Planning of Cornell University, USA. He is a Trustee of the K J Somaiya Trust, and a member of the Governing Council, K J Somaiya College of Engineering and member of Academic Council, Somaiya Vidyavihar.
G V Aras is M.Text and B.Text. from Mumbai University, Mumbai, India. He has also completed a Post graduate Diploma in Marketing Management and has been conferred membership of the Institution of Engineers, India. Mr Aras has more than 30 years of experience in the textile and textile engineering industry. He has been with A.T.E. for more than 30 years. He joined A.T.E. in 1981 as a Junior Sales and Service Engineer and rose to attain the position of Director – Textile Engineering Group (TEG) of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited. As the head of TEG, Mr Aras is responsible for the total functioning of the TEG, its profitability, customer/principal relationship, business strategy and growth. Mr Aras is presently on the committees of Indo-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and the Textile Association of India (Mumbai chapter), and is a member on the Board of Studies of VJTI as well as its Technical Advisory Group.
Nikesh Jain is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has over 25 years of experience, beginning in the lifestyle and retail industry, spanning across functions such as corporate accounts, business planning, investor relations, IPR, legal and commercial, administration, and HR. Mr Jain joined A.T.E. in July 2007 and is responsible for group finances, projects, joint ventures, and general management of the group.
Mr Mukesh Trivediheads the Flow Technology business unit at A.T.E. He joined A.T.E. in 1989 as product manager of erstwhile pumps division and since then established the business unit of pumps within the group. He has been actively involved in setting up the country-wide sales and distribution channels for industrial pumps. With his 30 plus years of experience in the pump industry, Mr Trivedi has managed a wide range of activities ranging from product management, vendor development, and marketing and sales of various types of industrial pumps. Mr Trivedi has also been responsible for setting up new business avenues through new and diverse agencies and distributorships from multinational companies related to flow business. Mr Trivedi has also managed group level functions of corporate communications, administration and IT. He has been instrumental in mapping, evaluating and implementing ERP in A.T.E. Under his leadership, the division of infrastructure water projects has now ventured into executing EPC contracts of storm water pumping stations in municipal segment. Mr Trivedi was also active with the Indian Pump Manufacturers Association (IPMA) and was Chairman of Positive Displacement Pumps segment.
